Djing at the Hoxton Hotel

March 8th brings about a flurry of activity for international women's day, from the Women of the World festival taking place over several days at Southbank Centre to marches and co-ordinated and grass roots action all over the world on the day itself. As a Sound Women London Salon, we've teamed up with Hoxton Hotel to bring the members of each together, in an 'expanded radio event' to mark the occasion.

It will be strange for me as I'll be seeing one of my ex-radio students who's now a presenter on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. Hosting is Jameela Jameel who broke ground as a "racism expert" on BBC and Sunta from XFM.

I wonder what kind of conversations we'll all be having.  This is a closed event, but will certainly feed into other stuff I'm working on, talking of which this features Dubai heavily, in more ways than one, London Art Fairs and zip wires. All I can say for now is we're running a pop up radio station again at Art Dubai and I'm Djing on the final night on the beach at the Madinat Jumeira hotel sponsored by Absolute.
