Amnesty International Fundraiser Gig

Saturday 2nd December

From 13:00 until 18:00 we'll be at the King's Head raising money for Amnesty, in recognition of their work in Iran. I'm compering. The event was put together by Roshi, who's cousin was beaten so hard she lost hearing in one ear, imprisoned and later freed for peacefully protesting the degradation of the gorgeous lake Ormieh in Iran. The third largest salt lake in the world, both the lake and the rivers that run from it have dried up by 60%. Read more about it here

  • "For this great organisation who I feel a personal gratitude to after their support towards the recent release of my second cousin Faranak Farid. Faranak was arrested in early September after attending a demonstration over the drying of lake Orumieh."
