Lostbahnhof in Translation

Lostbahnhof In Translation

Saturday March 14th, LIFE, 2-4 Old St, EC1V 9AA, 9pm-2am, £4

So we’re doing another party on Saturday March 14th. Really excited about this one. The venue is LIFE Bar on Old St (Nearest Tube Barbican!), in the basement of an excellent Japanese Sushi restaurant.

Silent Concerts

In the second room of LIFE bar, which doubles up as a shop selling all manner of Japanese goodies and gizmos during the day, we are teaming up with Shook magazine to host some very special Silent Concerts. Between 9pm and 12am a number of very special guests, including experimental touch electronics specialists Oscillatorial Binnage, Clause Four (DC Recordings), Mr Beatnick (Shhhhh) and others, will be performing to audiences of 20 at a time, streaming audio direct to headphones via wireless. E-MU, one of the world’s top musical instrument manufacturers, are kindly lending us a set of their new PIPEline wireless transceivers. This will be the world premiere of the system (the build of the prototypes is taking place two days before the event, so quite literally a premiere).

LIFE Restaurant

The Restaurant on the top floor of LIFE is well know for being one of the best modern Japanese restaurants in London. They serve set course menus and a la carte, which vary from Teriyaki dishes to Sushi, Sashimi. Tempura and Kaiseki. If you’re interested in eating there before the party downstairs I’d recommend first having a look at the menu, which you can find by digging around on here.

Film Screening Far Away

Your/Our/Their Story is a study in personal and shared history. Visually it's an experiment in the layers of story telling, that characterise memory.

I've lived in a few countries each time leaving a lot behind, both in terms of culture and belongings, the only thing that remains is a shared memory, of which even that is sometimes partly borrowed.

Thanks to the Flickering Light in Philadelphia who are screening my film, and the to the juror who asked to show the film to her class as well.

Oscillatorial Binnage at The Wellcome Trust

Prior to our gig at 'The Headphone Festival', this. A sound-art performance based on the exhibitions theme: 'From Atoms to Patterns'.

Oscillatorial Binnage are playing several dates soon. We are constantly building new dynamics between analog and digital sounds, and are currently working on a surround sound performance on mostly handmade electronics we have built, or bent, ourselves.
